My Shaklee 180 Turnaround - January 29th 2013

Didn't walk when I was in Vegas and only walked on the treadmill twice in six days when I got back. My weight shot up to 184.4. Without exercise I could see my weight gain going into the 190's in a hurry.

Started back to walking regularly yesterday and today. Started walking on the treadmill with a 10 pound weight in each hand. Both times I exercised for 46 minutes, burning 506 calories. I have to believe I burned more than 506 calories with the additional 20 pounds.

Still starting each day with a Shaklee 180 smoothee. Morning breaks consist of a snack bar with an occasional meal-in-a-bar for lunch.

I'm going to cut down my posts to once or twice a week to keep from being redundant and monotonous.

Mixed cafe latte and chocolate smoothee for breakfast this morning. Had a lemon cranberry crunch bar for morning break. For lunch I had a peanut butter chocolate chip meal-in-a-bar. Had an apple for afternoon break. For dinner we went with friends to Hog Wild. Had a huge beef sandwich.

Did not do any walking or exercise.

Back from Las Vegas. Good to be home.

Came back at a decent weight for eating and drinking whatever I wanted. I did get a fair amount of exercise walking to and from the hotel and the Las Vegas Convention Center, plus working.

I started some of my days with a smoothee (If I didn't have time for the complimentary breakfast) and usually had a meal bar for lunch.

Today I had a cafe latte smoothee for breakfast. I had a butter peanut snack bar for morning break. For lunch I had a blueberry almond crunch meal-in-a-bar. For dinner we had beef stew.

Walked on the treadmill for the first time since last Thursday. Walked for 46 minutes and burned 506 calories.

Had a chocolate smoothee for breakfast. Had vanilla sugar wafers for morning break, leftover cube steak and an orange for lunch, and an apple for afternoon break. For dinner we had spaghetti and meatballs again.

Walked on the treadmill for 46 minutes and burned 506 calories.

Had a cafe latte smoothee for breakfast and a lemon-cranberry snack bar for morning break. Had leftover Aurelio's pizza for lunch along with an orange. For afternoon breakI had an apple and some pretzels. Had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.

Definitely see an increase in my weight when my dinner is carb heavy.

Walked on the treadmill for an hour and burned 660 calories.

Chocolate smoothee for breakfast. Peanut butter crunch snack bar for morning break. A sloppy joe and an orange for lunch. For dinner we had cube steak, broccoli, and milk gravy and bread. Will probably gain weight from this. It was oh so good!

Walked on the treadmill for an hour and burned off 660 calories.

Walked on Saturday and went to a birthday party that evening. Did good with almost no gain in weight on Sunday. Sunday I didn't walk and had a pepperoni pizza at Aurelio's.

Started the day with a cafe latte smoothee for breakfast. For morning break I had a chocolate snack bar. I had 4 pieces of leftover pizza for lunch. Had an apple for afternoon break. For dinner we had sloppy joes, fries and peas.

Walked on the treadmill for an hour and burned 660 calories. If Sunday proved anything, it's that I need to walk to maintain my weight.

Started my day with a chocolate smoothee for breakfast. Had a peanut butter crunch snack bar for morning break. For lunch I had leftover fish and spanish rice. Had an apple for afternoon break. For dinner I was on my own. I had leftover pepper steak with rice and broccoli.

Walked on the treadmill tonight for an hour and burned a total of 660 calories. For me to maintain or lose weight, this is probably what I need to do everyday.

Had a cafe latte smoothee for breakfast. For morning break, I had a chocolate snack bar. For lunch I had a blueberry almond crunch meal-in-a-bar and two mini oranges. Had an apple for afternoon break. For dinner we had fish, green beans and spanish rice.

Would like to get to 180-181 by next Friday. I'll be out of town for a few days for work and it will disrupt my routine.

Walked for an hour for the third straight day. Burned 660 calories.

Had a chocolate smoothee for breakfast, a peanut butter crunch snack bar for morning break. Ihad 4 pieces of Aurelio's pizza for lunch and an apple for afternoon break. For dinner we had pot roast with carrots, mashed potato's and dinner rolls.

Hopefully I can keep the downward trend in my weight.

Too much beef and carbs yesterday. Sure was good though.

Had a cafe latte smoothee for breakfast, a chocolate snack bar for morning break, a peanut butter chocolate chip meal-in-a-bar and 2 small oranges for lunch, an apple for afternoon break, and breakfast for dinner. We had bacon, eggs, and pancakes.

Walked on the treadmill tonight. Walked for 61 minutes and burned 677 calories.

Had a vanilla smoothee this morning with pumpkin spice and cinnamon for breakfast. Had a peanut butter crunch snack bar for morning break. For lunch I had half of my wife's beef sandwich leftover from Pepino's. I had pretzels and green energy tea for afternoon break. For dinner we had pepper steak with rice and steamed cauliflower.

Walked on the treadmill tonight for an hour. Burned 660 calories.

No Milk!

Didn't have any milk for my smoothee for breakfast. Could of had a Meal-in-a-Bar for breakfast but I gave in and had a slice of pumpkin pie. I then had a lemon cranberry snack bar for lunch. For dinner we went to Aurelio's and had a large pepperoni pizza which we ate about two thirds of.

Walked for the first time in about 3 days. Walked on the treadmill for 46 minutes and burned 506 calories. Ankle feels just fine. It's become evident to me that I need to exercise to maintain the weight I want to stay at.

I read recently that the optimum to help keep a healthy heart is to walk for 30 minutes 4 time a week. Who does not have 30 minutes a day to go for a walk?

Gout moved to my elbow so now I'll probably start walking again tomorrow.

Had a chocolate smoothee for breakfast. Had 2 bowls of Quaker Oat Squares for lunch. Had 4 taco meat burritos for dinner. I've been munching on fish cheddar crackers all night.

Managed weight loss without walking. May try tomorrow. Will definitely make it easier to help maintain my weight.

Started the day with a cafe latte smoothee, a chocolate snack bar for morning break, a blueberry almond crunch meal-in-a-bar for lunch, pretzels for afternoon break. Diner was a little different. I had a beef pot pie with for different samples of smoothees blended with fruit. Linda and one of her sales team members were trying them out for an event they were holding.

Didn't do anything to my ankle, my gout flared up. Ibuprofen just about eliminates the pain, but I will also double up on my Shaklee OmegaGuard and Alfalfa Complex. Didn't walk because I still feel a little discomfort.

Had a chocolate smoothee  for breakfast, a peanut butter crunch snack bar for morning break, a peanut butter chocolate chip meal-in-a-bar for lunch, 2 mini oranges for afternoon break and burrito's for dinner.

We'll see if lack of exercise causes anymore weight gain.

Not a bad weight to come out of the holidays with.

Woke up with a sore ankle. Felt a little stress on my knee because of the way I was walking on it. Didn't walk because I didn't want to cause any injury to my knee. Hopefully this pain won't last long.

Had a cafe latte smoothie for breakfast, a lemon cranberry snack bar for break, 4 pieces of pizza for lunch, 2 mini oranges for afternoon break and leftover fried chicken, spanish rice and peas for dinner.

Happy New Year! Sorry I'm late with this post. I was busy writing my Shaklee weight loss story, most of which is in this blog. The full story can be read here.

It was nice out today so I took my walk outdoors. It was sunny, 27 degrees and no wind. I walked for an hour for a total of about 3 miles.

I had a vanilla smoothie for breakfast, four pieces of leftover pizza for lunch and leftover chilli for dinner. I had a piece of pumpkin pie for dessert.
