Still didn't feel good enough to walk but did finish the garage door opener.

Had a vanilla shake for breakfast. Quaker Oat Squares for lunch. We had leftover chilli for dinner. I'll probably treat myself to another slice of pumpkin pie tonight.

Still didn't feel that great in the morning. Did a little work on the garage door opener installation before  the kids and grand kids came over for a chicken fry. Not that I felt like it but had no time for walking.

Started my day with a chocolate shake and had a bowl of Quaker Oat Squares for lunch. During the course of the day had chips and salsa, chereezo, then fried chicken, potato's, and broccoli for dinner.
I had 5 Sam Adams, numerous chocolate chip cookies and 2 pieces of pumpkin pie. Weight gain here I come.

That was probably my New Years celebration.

Woke  up this morning with flu like symptoms. Felt weak but still managed to put in 3 hours at Crete Lions recycle. Didn't do any walking today.

Had a cafe latte shake for breakfast and Quaker Oat Squares for lunch. We had our favorite pizza from Aurelio's for dinner. A large pepperoni that I probably ate close to half of. Don't seem to have lost my appetite.

Seemed easy to get back to the weight I want to be at. Exercise is the key, as it is with any weight management program.

I didn't walk today. We took down Santa's house today. I worked the roof panels and was all over that thing like a circus monkey. It gave my legs a workout so I felt I did not need a workout.

Started my day at 4:00 this morning with a vanilla shake. Morning break I had a chocolate snack bar and a blueberry almond meal bar for lunch. For dinner we had leftover chilli.

Should be easier to maintain my weight through the New Year holiday.

That's more like it, almost where I want to be.

Had a chocolate shake for breakfast, a peanut butter crunch snack bar for break and a chocolate chip peanut butter meal bar for lunch. For dinner we had chicken fingers and steak fries and peas.

Walked on the treadmill for 46 minutes and burned 505 calories.

Once again it feels like I can lose weight at will with the shakes, meal bars and the 3-in-1 boost          ( increases metabolism).

The Christmas festivities slapped me around a little.

Started my morning with a cafe latte shake. At work for break had a lemon cranberry crunch bar. For lunch I had a blueberry almond meal in a bar. For dinner we had leftover chilli, lasagna, and spaghetti.

Walked on the treadmill for 64 minutes and burned 705 calories.

Not maintaining anymore, I'm back in full diet mode to get back to the low 180's.

Staying the course so far, but it is the holidays.

Didn't exercise but was busy helping the wife get ready for the next 2 days of festivities. Probably not quite the workout but activity none the less.

Had a chocolate shake for breakfast and 2 bowls of my favorite cereal, Quaker Oat Squares. For dinner we had Chinese from Liang's. Shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. I must say I pigged out on the egg rolls and ate 5 off them. Only because the wife couldn't eat her second one and they're not good leftover and reheated. Also had about a half dozen homemade chocolate chip cookies during the evening and a glass of wine before bed.

Don't know how I woke up at that weight and not having worked out for the second day in a row. That's the weight I'd like to start opening day of softball with. That's 4 months away.

I did walk today. Walked on the treadmill for 46 minutes and burned 506 calories. I need to walk tomorrow because I know I won't be walking Christmas Eve or Christmas. Maybe I'll brave the weather and do my walking outside tomorrow.

Started my day with a mix of cafe latte and chocolate shake. Lunch was a bowl and a half of Quaker Oat Squares. Dinner was a pepperoni pizza at Aurelio's.

So far, maintaining my weight seems easy, but here comes the holidays.

Had a chocolate shake for breakfast, a chocolate snack bar for morning break, had a blueberry almond crunch meal bar for lunch.I had an orange when I got home from work, and had sloppy joes and fries for dinner.

Hopefully I can get back on track and start my walking regimen back up again.

Didn't walk tonight because I had a dentist appointment. We'll see how this affects my weight in the morning.

So far seem to be holding at about the same weight. I'm having my shake in the morning and eating as I was before I started the diet. I've burned 500 calories the last 2 nights after dinner.

Today was no different. Started off with a vanilla shake for breakfast and wafer cookies for break. Since there were no leftovers, I had a peanut butter chocolate chip meal in a bar, an apple and grape juice for lunch. I then had 2 mini oranges for afternoon break. We had fish and chips, peas and green beans for dinner.

Did the usual 46 minutes on the treadmill and burned 506 calories.

Still trying to determine how much time to spend walking to maintain my weight. May stick to 500 calories to see what the results are.

Not surprising, didn't feel well yesterday. Felt much better today, well enough to walk on the treadmill for 64 minutes and burn 703 calories for a distance of 3 miles.

Had a cafe latte shake this morning for breakfast. Had my usual vanilla wafer cookies for morning break, leftover Aurelio's pizza for lunch, and 2 mini oranges for afternoon break. For dinner we had beef stew with rice on the side.

In trying to maintain my new weight, I need to determine what  and how much I can eat to achieve that. Also need to find out how much I need to exercise.

Woke up this morning not feeling the best. Either Have the stomach flu or a mild case of food poisoning.

Didn't eat much today. Had a vanilla shake for breakfast, a bowl of cereal for lunch and a little leftover chicken and a dinner roll for dinner. Also snacked on some dry roasted peanuts.

Did not have enough energy to do any walking today. Probably gonna end up losing weight.

The holidays may have started early. To maintain my weight I still will have to kind of watch what I eat. I also think I will have to burn at least 700 calories on my walks.

Have probably over indulged since the end of the contest. I want to stay between 180 and 185 pounds. I had planned on gaining some weight back.

I had a chocolate shake for breakfast and vanilla wafers for morning break. Went to the field carpenters Xmas party at Vito and Nicks and had pizza for lunch along with 3 MGD's. The daughter and son-in-law came over to pick up the grand kids and we had pizza for dinner.

Had no time to walk on the treadmill. We will see how this plays out in the morning.

Came in second in the biggest loser contest. The second place contestant made a miraculous surge to over take me. Even though I didn't win, I still won. I lost 36 pounds in 4 months to the day. I definitely feel better, look better and I know improved my health. Now I just need to maintain my weight.

Started my first day on the Shaklee Cinch maintenance program with a cafe latte shake. I had vanilla wafer cookies for morning break for the first time in four months. We had our Xmas luncheon at work today and I had helpings of beef, chicken breast, mashed potato's and assorted vegetables. For dinner I had eggs, bacon and toast.

For my workout I walked on the treadmill for 46 minutes and burned 504 calories.

This morning 176.4.  Lowest weight I've been since I can't remember. Weighed 180.0 at the weigh in for the "biggest loser" contest. It was the last weigh in. I lost a total of 22.8 pounds form the start of the contest. That's about 11.3% and should be enough for me to win.

I'm just going to maintain my weight now and just have a shake in the morning. I want to keep my weight between 180 and 185 which was my original goal before the start of the contest.

Because of the weigh in I ate nothing till morning break at 9:45. I had a peanut butter chocolate chip meal bar. I had a banana and 2 mini oranges for lunch and an apple for afternoon break. For dinner I had 2 bowls of chili.

I 'm also going to cutback a little on my workout. No more walking the stairs at work at lunch. I'm going to walk on the treadmill after dinner and burn at least 500 calories for now.

Hopefully I'll wake up and be in the 176 range. That will give me a  4 pound loss and add about 2% to my 9.94 total.

Started the day with a chocolate shake. Had a chocolate snack bar for morning break. I had a vanilla shake for lunch and 2 mini oranges for afternoon break. For dinner I had 2 taco meat burritos.

My workout today consisted of walking the stairs at lunch time, 5 flights of stairs 6 times. After dinner, I walked on the treadmill for 67 minutes and burned 804 calories.

After tomorrow I'll just have a shake in the morning for breakfast. I'll have the previous days dinner leftovers for lunch and whatever we have for dinner that day. The Shaklee plan is to have the one shake a day to maintain your weight once you reach your goal.

I'll continue to exercise by walking and burning at least 500 calories when I do.

Cafe latte shake for breakfast, peanut butter crunch snack bar for break, vanilla shake for lunch, and fresh pineapple cubes for afternoon break. Two bowls of chili for dinner.

Walked the stairs at work. Seven times up and down 5 flights of stairs. After dinner walked on the treadmill for 91 minutes and burned 1000 calories. We'll see how that translates into weight loss in the morning.

179.2 this morning.

Came out of the weekend in decent shape. I want to lose 2 more pounds to comfortably win 150 dollar incentive for losing 20 pounds in the contest. That will actually be one more pound than I need, but I want to be on the safe side. Don't think anyone can catch me in the contest for most percent lost. I had a 2.5 percent lead after last weigh in. Two hundred dollars for first place.

Mixed chocolate and cafe latte for a chocolate cafe latte shake for breakfast. Had a vanilla shake with cinnamon and pumpkin spice mixed in for lunch. Dinner was a beef sandwich and pickled beets.

Walked on the treadmill for 64 minutes and burned 704 calories.

I'll do this the next 2 nights plus walk the stairs at lunch. After the weigh in, I'll just do 500 calories a night on the treadmill.since I will have reached my goals and the contest will be over. I will also just have one shake at breakfast everyday to maintain my weight.

This morning when I woke up 178.4. Worked out in the afternoon before going to Aurelio's for the grandsons birthday. That's when I weighed 178.2, after the workout and a shower. After we got home from dinner I weighed 181.8. Expected a setback but I think I can recover from this.

Had a cafe latte shake for breakfast, a chocolate shake for lunch.All I had all day leading up to dinner.

For my workout I walked on the treadmill for 64 minutes and burned 704 calories.

179.8 this morning after 181.8 last night. Always weigh lighter in the morning. This is good since the weigh in has to be done in the morning before noon.

Had a chocolate shake for breakfast, chocolate snack bar for morning break, a vanilla shake for lunch, three mini oranges for afternoon break and 3 taco meat burritos for dinner.

The workout today consisted of 7 trips up and down 5 flights of stairs at lunch time, taking a total of 28 minutes. Walked on the treadmill after dinner for 63 minutes and burned 700 calories.

Started my morning with a vanilla cafe latte shake and a chocolate shake for lunch. Had a lemon cranberry snack bar for morning break and an apple for afternoon break. Also had 2 pieces of pepperoni pizza for lunch. Had 3 taco meat burritos for dinner.

For workouts today I walked up and down 5 flights of stairs 7 times at lunch. Had to work off those 2 pieces of pizza. I then walked for 58 minutes and burned 700 calories.

Missed posting last night.

Had a busy evening and went to my daughters for the grandson's 3rd birthday for cake and ice cream. Was only able to walk on the treadmill for 36 minutes and burn 400 calories. I did walk the stairs at work 8 times.

Also had a beef sandwich for dinner but I weighed 183.4 after the work out. The 183.2 was after we got home from my daughters house.

Had the Cinch shakes for breakfast and lunch. Had a snack bar at morning break and mini oranges for afternoon break.

I weigh less in the morning when I wake up. The last 2 days that I weighed 182 I woke up weighing 180.8 and 180.4.

My Shaklee Cinch Diet - December 2nd

Getting there. Beautiful day today. It was in the low 60's so I did my walking outside. Not exactly sure how far I walked but I would guess between 5 and 6 miles. Total time walking was an hour and a half. I average about a mile every 15 minutes.

I had a chocolate cafe latte shake for breakfast, then took my walk. For lunch I had a chocolate shake. For dinner we had fish and chips with broccoli, green beans and pickled beets.

Planning on walking the stairs at work this week and Monday and Tuesday next week before weigh in. I'll also do my treadmill workout after dinner everyday. Need to get to 178.

Lately I've been weighing myself in the morning when I wake up. I usually weigh a half pound to one and a half pounds lighter than when I weigh at night. You do lose weight while sleeping. It helps not to eat or just snack lightly before bed.

Started the day with a vanilla shake. At work I had a peanut butter crunch snack bar for break, a blueberry almond crunch meal bar for lunch and an apple for afternoon break. For dinner I had a beef pot pie.

Besides the physical workout at work, I walked 52 minutes on the treadmill and burned 605 calories.

Went to dinner after work with the wife and 2of my daughters at my favorite restaurant  Aurelio's Pizza. Went at 7:00so it was a late dinner. No workout tonight so no chance to work it off. Did work pretty hard at work so it could be worse. Gonna have to work hard for the next week and a half to show a decent loss in the "Biggest Loser" contest.

Had a Cinch cafe latte shake for breakfast, a chocolate snack bar for morning break, a blueberry almond crunch meal bar for lunch, a lemon cranberry snack bar for afternoon break and an apple at 4:30 break and then pizza for dinner.

Results of yesterdays weigh in were posted this afternoon.  I still lead with a 9.94% weight loss. Second place was at 7.75% and third was at 4.90%. Last weigh in is December 12th.

Had a shake for breakfast, a snack bar for AM break, 8 pieces of pizza for lunch an apple for PM break, and a shake for dinner. That pizza may have still been sticking with me even after my workout.

Skipped walking the stairs at lunch in favor of pizza. Walked on the treadmill after my shake dinner for 52 minutes and burned 600 calories.

Did well at the weigh in today with a loss of 4.4 pounds since the last weigh in 2 weeks ago. That makes a total of 19 pounds since September 23rd when the contest started. Pretty sure I padded my lead when the second place loser said he only lost 1 pound. Two more weeks till the final weigh in and I want to get to 178. Don't think that will be a problem.

Held off having breakfast till 9:45 after my weigh in. Had a blueberry almond crunch meal bar. For lunch I had a Cinch chocolate shake. For afternoon break I had an apple. For dinner we had beef tenderloin, broccoli and mashed potato's. Snacked on some dry roasted peanuts tonight.

Did 5 flights of stairs at work 6 times. Walked on the treadmill for 56 minutes and burned 600 calories.

Wow, didn't think I would be able to drop below 181.

This blog is pretty much a review of the Shaklee Cinch weight loss program and I must say it's lived up to my expectations. At times it seems I can lose weight almost at will. If you follow Shaklee's directions for the program, you will lose weight. I probably exercise a little bit on the excessive side and average about 2.5 pounds a week. Following Shaklee's plan you should lose 1 to 1.5 pounds a week. The key is you must exercise and it can be as simple as walking which is what I do.

Today I had my Cinch shakes for breakfast and lunch. I had a Cinch chocolate snack bar for morning break and raw carrots for afternoon break. I had leftover spaghetti and meatballs for dinner minus the garlic bread.

Did the same workout as I did yesterday. Up and down 5 flights of stairs 7 times. Walked on the treadmill after dinner for 60 minutes and burned 705 calories.

Got a weigh in coming up on Wednesday for the "Biggest Loser" contest. Would like to weigh in at 180.4 or less but don't think it's gonna happen. I'll show a loss but it won't be as much as I'd like. Thanksgiving really set me back. I've got just over 2 weeks till the contest ends (Dec. 12th).

Did 7 trips up and down 5 flights of stairs at work today. Had not done that in a while but need to get rid of the damage I did Thanksgiving. Walked on the treadmill for an hour and burned 700 calories. Surprised I only lost .4 pounds from yesterday.

Had a chocolate cafe latte shake for breakfast, a peanut butter crunch snack bar for morning break, a vanilla shake for lunch and an apple for afternoon break. For dinner, spaghetti and meatballs and 2 pieces of garlic bread. Went light on the spaghetti and probably shouldn't have had the 2nd piece of garlic bread.

I can finally post and get back to my normal schedule. Because of my work schedule during the set up of the Radiology show, I was not able to post to this blog or do any walking Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I did manage to stay on my Shaklee Cinch program. I would have a shake in the morning and have meal bars for lunch and dinner. It wasn't convenient to have shakes on the job.

Did a lot of damage Thanksgiving. I was up to almost 186 pounds! I had my usual shake in the morning before work, a meal bar for lunch, then home by 2:30 for Thanksgiving dinner.

Today (Sunday) I had my first day off in a couple weeks. I had Cinch shakes for breakfast and lunch. We then had Thanksgiving leftovers for dinner. I took it easy this time and didn't over do it.

Walked on the treadmill for the first time since Wednesday. Walked for 50 minutes and burned 600 calories.

Started my day at 8:00, Had a vanilla shake with cinnamon and pumpkin spice (tis' the season). Walked on the treadmill for 42 minutes and burned 500 calories.

11:00 - lemon snack bar
2:30 - 6 inch Spicy Italian for Subway
4:30 - raw carrots
6:30 - Peanut butter chocolate chip meal bar
9:30 - an apple

Have to work till 10:00 tonight and work 6am till 2pm Thanksgiving. Rough schedule.

Got up at 8:00 and had a Cinch cafe latte/chocolate shake, then walked on the treadmill for 42 minutes and burned 500 calories. So far so good going into the holiday.

Yesterdays eating schedule:

Breakfast - Chocolate shake
8:00 - chocolate snack bar
9:45 - 2 mini oranges
2:30 - Peanut butter chocolate chip meal bar
4:30 - raw carrots
6:30 dinner - Blueberry almond crunch meal bar
9:30 - an apple

Had a glass of wine and some dry roasted peanuts when I got home at 12:30 and went to bed at 1:00 am.

Two more days of this grueling schedule.

My schedule got turned upside down. Working noon to midnight Mon. thru Wed. Started at 6 a.m. today so no walking. I'll be walking in the morning Tuesday and Wednesday so I'll be weighing myself afterwards before I go to work. With Thursday being Thanksgiving I wont be walking then either. Friday and Saturday will be long days and probably won't walk then either. Just hope I don't do much damage Thanksgiving.

I'll be doing my Cinch shakes in the morning and Cinch meal-in-a-bar for lunch. I'll be picking up a sub sandwich from Subway for dinner on Tues. and Wed.

I'll be posting my weights in the morning those 2 days.

Great number but I weighed before dinner.

Changed my routine because we went out to dinner. Got home from work, walked on the treadmill for 50 minutes and burned 600 calories. I then took my shower  and then weighed myself. Usually its dinner, walk, shower then weigh myself.

Went to Aurelio's for pizza so I know that 182.8 was short lived. We will see what tomorrows results are.

Had a Cinch vanilla shake with cinnamon and pumpkin spice added for breakfast and a chocolate shake for lunch. We started work at 6 a.m. so we have breaks at 8 and  9:45. I had a peanut butter crunch snack bar and a lemon cranberry snack bar for those breaks

Quit doing any walking at work during lunch. Won't be able to do it next week anyway because I'll be working 12 hour days in the field. May work to my advantage anyway for weight loss.

Broke the 185 barrier. I weighed myself this morning before work and weighed 184.4. At the weigh in for the"Biggest Loser" contest I weighed in at 187.4 with clothes on minus shoes. That's 4 1/2 pounds less than last weigh in. Should be enough to keep my lead.

Changed things up a little bit today. I had a meal bar for breakfast, a Cinch shake for lunch, and ground beef burritos for dinner. Also had a snack bar for A.M. break and an apple for afternoon break. Having a glass of grape juice right now before I go to bed.

Walked on the treadmill for 53 minutes and burned 605 calories.

I want to lose 6 more pounds in the contest. That's only 1.5 pounds a week till the final weigh in in 4 weeks. I may not do anymore walking at lunch but continue to walk on the treadmill or outside weather permitting.

Same as yesterday, was hoping to drop below 185.  Have not had anything since dinner and won't eat anything before bed. I am sure I'll lose a few ounces by the time I weigh in tomorrow.

Walked the stairs at work during lunch and burned 650 calories on the treadmill in an hour. That's one reason I thought I would weigh less.

Had a Cinch shake for breakfast and for lunch. Also had a chocolate snack bar for morning break. Had beef and broccoli for dinner. I had 2 helpings so that may have kept me from weighing under 185.

Back in the shop tomorrow. Will probably walk the stairs at lunch time. Then the treadmill after dinner. Should be able to drop below 185 for Wednesdays weigh in.

Had a Cinch vanilla shake for breakfast, a lemon cranberry snack bar for break and a peanut butter chocolate chip meal-in-a-bar for lunch. Had a sloppy joe and cottage cheese for dinner.

Did 42 minutes on the treadmill and burned 500 calories.

Only 1/2 pound away from my Shaklee goal!

Had a busy day. Being my only day off this week I had a lot of things to catch up on chore wise.
Had to get them done in time to go to the craft show at Crete-Monee High School and help Linda break down her Shaklee booth.

Started the day with a Cinch Cafe Latte shake for breakfast. Took care of a few honey dos and then went for a 3 mile walk. Had a  Cinch Chocolate shake for lunch and finished the rest of my to do list. Helped Linda tear down and we went to Culvers for a burger. Walked for 45 minutes on the treadmill and burned 500 calories. Watched some football, took a shower, and weighed in at 185.6.

Would like to weigh 184 Wednesday morning for the"Biggest Loser" contest weigh in #3. Definitely within striking distance.

Good day. Good recovery from my pizza gorged Friday.

Got home from work and walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes and burned 515 calories.

Had a cafe latte Cinch shake in the morning, a blueberry almond crisp meal bar for lunch and a sloppy joe for dinner. Then went out to friends place for snacks and wine.

Weigh in this week at work for the "Biggest Loser" contest. Four more weeks left to compete for most percent of weight lost.

Had pizza for dinner. Not just any pizza but Aurelio's pizza, my favorite. Lucky I only gained a pound.

Walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes when we got home from the restaurant. Burned 540 calories.   Had a cafe latte shake for breakfast, lemon snack bar for break and a peanut butter chocolate chip meal-in-a-bar for lunch.

Streak of steady losses going. One half to 3/4 of a pound a day.

 Started my day with the usual Cinch shake, chocolate snack bar for break, blueberry almond crisp meal-in-a-bar for lunch, and leftover chicken fajita for dinner.

Again I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes and burned 525 calories.

Besides the Cinch weight management products, I also take some of Shaklee's vitamins and supplements.  Vitamins I take in the morning with my shake are:

Not too bad .... could have been worse.

Start on Santa's house tomorrow. Labor to put it up is a little more physical. Won't be able to walk at lunch like I do when I am in the shop, but should get a workout anyway.

Walked for 30 minutes at lunch today. Walked on the treadmill after dinner for 45 minutes and burned 525 calories.

Gonna change things up a little bit. I'm still going to have my Cinch shake in the morning, but for lunch I will have a Cinch meal-in-a-bar. Fills you up just like the shakes and has the protein, vitamins and minerals of the shakes. The flavors I'll be having for lunch are blueberry almond crisp and peanut butter chocolate chip. Never had them before, I'll let you know how I like them.

Great start to the day.

I usually weigh myself about the same time every day. That's in the evening before or after my shower. Today I walked 5 miles outside then blew some leaves to the curb. Took my shower about noon in preparation for Mike's birthday party.

There's gonna be a lot of tempting foods and drink. Dinner will be Beef tenderloin, mashed potato's, and broccoli. Then there's my favorite beer, Sam Adams, and of course the birthday cake.

Staying in that 188 range. Tomorrow will be a big challenge. My sons birthday party.
Hope I can keep the damage to a minimum so I'm not trying to lose weight to get back to where I was on Friday.

Shouldn't be hard to stay on track with my Cinch Diet this week. I'll be working outside putting up Santa's House at Daley Plaza. It will be physically demanding work.

Just three and a half pounds away from my goal. The "Biggest Loser" contest goes till Dec. 12th. I'm going to stay in training and see how much I can lose by then. The owners of the company have added some monetary incentives to make it worth while.

Had a chocolate Cinch shake for breakfast and a vanilla one with cinnamon  and pumpkin spice added to it. Had a chocolate Cinch snack bar for morning break. Had chilli again for dinner.

Went shopping and looked for things I can add to the shakes for a different flavor. Bought some instant coffee to add to the chocolate and the vanilla to make chocolate and vanilla mocha shakes. I also got some orange extract to add to the vanilla for a dream cicle type flavor.

Had a good weigh in for the "Biggest Loser" contest today. Lost 5 pounds since last weigh in for a total of 11 pounds.

 Gained a pound due to the Halloween activities at work. Had 4 slices of pizza with my Cinch shake for lunch after the pumpkin toss.

Had a late dinner which was one of my favorites, chilli.

Got to buckle down. Six weeks left to the contest. I'll find out my standing tomorrow.

Move in the right direction. Was hoping to do a little better with the next weigh in for the Biggest Loser tomorrow.  Little losses are better than no loss or a gain.

Did my "stair master training" during lunch at work. Too windy outside to walk from the effects from hurricane Sandy. Up and down 5 flights of stairs 7 times. Also did the treadmill after dinner and burned 550 calories and walked 2 3/4 miles.

Did the usual Cinch shakes for breakfast and lunch. Had leftover salmon, spanish rice, and peas for dinner.

Got my Cinch Transformation Pack today. Two canisters of Cinch shake mix, 3 boxes of snack bars,
2 boxes of meal bars, a bottle of boost, and a box of shake mix packets for shakes on the go or lunch box.

The meal bars do the same thing as a shake, high protein and luecine to retain lean muscle. They'll come in handy when I'm working outside next week on Santa's house at Daley Plaza and when I work the radiology show at McCormick Place Thanksgiving week.

Not a bad number to end the weekend on.

Can't say I didn't get enough exercise this weekend.

Saturday blew, raked and carried leaves in a tarp to the curb for almost the entire yard. I then went for a 3 mile walk.

Sunday went for a 5 mile walk, then cut the grass for the last time this year. Also cleaned the leaves off the pool cover.

Had my Cinch shakes for breakfast and lunch both days. Saturday was pizza night at Aurelio's which I kind of tried to eat with moderation. Also gave in to a small piece of chocolate cream pie. Sunday we had baked salmon, baked potato and peas.

Speaking of exercise, it's key to any diet plan. Any exercise is better than nothing. As good as the Cinch plan is one still needs to exercise even if it's only 30 minutes a day.

Busy day. Worked Crete Lions Recycle Center for 4 hours, blew and raked leaves, carried them to the curb (3 hours) and walked for an hour. Burned some calories!

All I had for meals were Cinch shakes for breakfast and lunch. Today's weight doesn't take into account the Aurelios pizza I'll be having for dinner.

I've got a weigh in coming up on Wednesday for the Biggest Loser contest at work. Gotta try to behave myself for that.

At the Shaklee Global Conference it was mentioned that a lot of Olympic athletes use Shaklee supplements. They take Shaklee supplements because they are proven to be pure and free of substances that could be deemed illegal by the Olympic Committee.

During the event they had a live video interview from London with some of the athletes that took Shaklee supplements. They interviewed members of the gold medal winning women's rowing team and a medal winning member of the sharpshooter/skiing team. During these interviews it was mentioned that Cinch shakes were used for quick recovery after training workouts. I must confess I feel energized after drinking my morning shake.

Exactly where I was last Friday.

Same routine: Cinch shake for breakfast and lunch. Cinch snack bar and an apple for breaks.

Went for a 30 minute walk at lunch. Burned 500 calories on the treadmill.

That's a loss of 21 pounds since August 12th. I definitely feel better, both physically and mentally. Even after losing 10 pounds I could feel the difference. During the softball season I played outfield and felt like I had gained a step after a 10 pound loss. I can hardly wait till next season when I'll be playing at 185 or less. I'll have to maintain that weight for 4 1/2 months when the season starts.

My Shaklee Cinch Diet -October 25th

Tried Cinch shakes Latte and Vanilla mixed this morning for breakfast. Not bad! Had my favorite Cinch snack bar, chocolate for break and a chocolate Cinch shake for  lunch. Dinner consisted of a couple chicken fingers, spanish rice and broccoli.

Exercise wise I walked 2 miles at lunch time and 2 3/4 miles and 500 calories on the treadmill.

With all the walking I do, I don't really experience any joint pain or soreness. I credit this to the Shaklee Joint Health Complex supplement that I started taking about a year and a half ago. I noticed almost immediate results after taking it for only 5 days. When warming up for softball it used to take 20 to 30 throws to loosen up my arm. After taking the Joint Health Complex, I had free movement after 5 to 10 throws. It also affected my knees. I had freer movement during games, but the big plus was how I felt the next morning. I could actually get out of bed without pain and with minimal stiffness in my knees. This is one supplement I don't want to do without.

Back on track!

This week is starting to mirror the way last week went.

It was almost 80 degrees out today so I walked outside at lunch time. Walked for 30 minutes, approximately 2 miles. Walked again after dinner and took my long walk route 3.1 miles. I've found I walk about a mile every 15 minutes.

Did my usual Cinch shakes in the morning and for lunch. Had a Cinch snack bar at A.M. break and an apple  and energy tea for afternoon break.

Work load today was more physical than usual with a lot of heavy lifting.

Hope to drop below 190 by the weekend.

Latte shake in the morning, chocolate Cinch Snack Bar for morning break and a chocolate shake for lunch. Had an apple, Cinch pomegranate energy tea and a handful of peanuts in the shell for afternoon break.

Took a 25 minute walk at lunch, approximately a mile and a half. Burned 480 calories on the treadmill. Forty minutes and 2 1/2 miles.

Chiseling away to get back to my previous losses. gotta learn to discipline myself a little better at those family gatherings.

Ouch!

Caused a lot of damage to my diet this weekend. Most of it from the birthday party on Sunday. Italian sausage, mashed potatoes, chocolate cream pie, 3 Sam Adams and chips and salsa were the weapons of diet destruction.

I've been adding cinnamon  and pumpkin pie spice to my vanilla shakes lately for a delicious change of pace. I will also occasionally have a chocolate latte shake for breakfast by mixing  a scoop of each with my 8 oz. of milk.

Couldn't walk outside during lunch today because it was raining. Instead, I stayed inside and walked up 5 flights of stairs, walked the length of the building and back, down 5 flights of stairs in the opposite stairwell, across the basement and back up again. Did that 7 times, took about 28 minutes. Figured it to be about 4/5 of a mile. Good workout.

My Shaklee Transformation Diet

My wife Linda and I are distributors for Shaklee. Last August we attended the Shaklee Global Conference in Las Vegas. The theme for this years conference was "Transformation".

The meaning of "transformation" could be taken on may levels.  The topics this applied to included transforming your business, your mind set, your health and your body. Transforming my body is going to be the focus of this blog.

At the Global Conference Expo among other things there was a Shaklee Cinch exhibit were attendees could pledge the amount of weight they intended to lose (transform) using the Cinch Program. I use a lot of the Shaklee health and supplement products already, but had not used the Cinch diet products. I felt this was a good opportunity to try them. I pledged 20 pounds, wanting to get to a weight of 185.

I was in for a surprise when we got home from the conference. I weighed in a little heavier than I thought I weighed. I stepped on the scale at 212!  Twenty pounds only put me at 192, seven pounds short of my goal. so, on August 12th, my quest for my ideal weight began.

I started the Cinch weight loss program on Monday morning, August 13th. The Cinch plan consists of a shake and a 3-in-1 boost supplement to replace two meals during the day and a regular meal plus the 3-in-1 boost supplement. I do my shakes and boost for breakfast and lunch and have a dinner.

The shakes contain protein to keep you full. They also contain  leucine to help preserve muscle  and keep your metabolism up. The 3-in-1 boost, boosts metabolism, keeps blood sugar steady, and gives you the vitamins and minerals you need.

For exercise, I walk 2 to 3 miles a day during the week, except the days when I play softball. On weekends I try to walk 4 to 5 miles a day.

Since I started this blog in the middle of the plan, I'll give my weekly totals up to today, October 21st.
